Whats it like to live with a smart home?

After 12 months living with a Loxone automated home, I can honestly say its as different or the same as living with a normal home, its really up to you as to how much life changes, yes lights turn themselves off, heating is at the temperature you want at the time you want it and you can look at the figures for energy usage, I guess I tend to tinker with and monitor more than any sane person really should, but overall i’ve enjoyed the experience.

Yes i’ve made silly mistakes deleting whole sections of the configuration 5 minutes before dinner is served and we’ve eaten in the dark, but its all part of the rich tapestry and nothing my wife wasn’t prepared for!, after all i’ve been running our home network for the past 13 years!
