Loxone Reseller Program

I’ve not been a massive fan of the Loxone reseller program since its revamp announcement at the end of last year, I thought it was a little unfair to people in my situation, Smart Homes aren’t my primary business, IT is, I just don’t do enough projects in the course of a year to hit the new selling targets.

As a result i’ve been reduced in level to a “Registered Partner” which doesn’t get me much in the way of benefits, no more listing on the Loxone website, which I think is probably the biggest disadvantage in this game.

Luckily for me i’ve been in touch with a Lighting Designer local to me, who has passed on a few small jobs this year which has been greatly appreciated.

I’m pretty sure I won’t make it back to being a Silver partner for some time, but hopefully i can get my name out there and make those targets in coming years.

I’ve been pretty surprised by the number of new clients i’ve picked up this year, a couple of extensions and some after market support contracts. Things are looking good.

Loxone’s focus (in my eyes) in the last year has changed from being for the hobbyist and small installer, to trying to compete with the bigger more established brands we all know and love.

I guess what i’m saying is although I was pissed off with the changes orginally, now I see the bigger picture I am a little less peeved about them.
